Hello! Welcome to my blog. I’ve been blogging for just over 4 years, and it is one of the best hobbies I’ve undertaken (the other being playing guitar).
A little about me…
I’m 26, and I currently live in Georgia. But my heart is in Austin, TX! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Interpersonal Communication, and I have a Master’s degree in Communication Studies with emphases in Rhetorical Studies and Race,Gender, and Culture. I taught Fundamentals of Human Communication at Texas State University, and during my stint there, I also gave several guest lectures for undergraduate Rhetoric, Gender, and Philosophy classes. I currently work as independent contractor for a corporate training company.
My hobbies include blogging, reading, playing music, writing poetry, and my newest venture…painting! I love the arts and creative expression and totally believe in the healing power of creative arts. I like underground hip-hop music, old jazz, neo-soul, latin music, reggae, and a slew of other genres!
I am a Christian, which means I love and follow Jesus the best I can…with all kinds of postmodern, progressive, ancient, ecumenical, gritty, funky flavors in the mix!
I started blogging in an attempt to document my spiritual journey in a medium that allows others to witness the journey and engage in dialogue. I hope you will look around, stay a while, and feel free to leave feedback and comments.
